Responsibilities

• Schedule infusion treatments, transfusions, and labs for oncology patients.
• Navigate EHR and understand treatment plans ordered by physicians.
• Attend to the Oncology Request Queue to ensure timely scheduling of treatments.
• Utilize scheduling guidelines and medication lists to ensure safe treatment administration.
• Collaborate with infusion nurses and triage APPs for appropriate patient scheduling prior to discharge.
• Communicate with infusion leadership to maximize clinic flow productivity.
• Interact and coordinate care with clinical staff, including physicians and APPs, to confirm treatment regimens.
• Refer patients to Express Symptom Management for urgent visit requests.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED, training, or experience).
• 3 years of experience in a healthcare and/or customer service setting.
• Oncology background strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Scheduling Systems (e.g., Soarian, Cerner, Centricity, Pathways Healthcare Scheduling, Chart links).
• Medical terminology knowledge required.
• Experience handling high volume calls.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task.
