About the position

Come join our Patient Access team at Johnson Memorial Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Of New England! Weekdays only, three evenings and one swing shift - see schedule below. Completes patient registrations/pre-registration processes following department procedures. Processes include obtaining accurate demographic, insurance and patient liability information. Responsible for working with multiple department/hospital and web-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete and accurate pre-registrations, registration, and admission functions
• Verify insurance requirements
• Obtain and understand insurance benefits
• Ensure that all entries concerning demographic, financial and advanced directives are accurate
• Collect non-covered fees

Requirements

• Minimum High school or equivalent
• One year experience in an accredited hospital or physician's office preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurances
