About the position
The Patient Access Representative II is responsible for accurately collecting and analyzing all required demographic, insurance, financial, and clinical data elements necessary to register patients. The incumbent is responsible for the provision of routine patient access activity to facilitate efficient operations, expeditious reimbursement, and optimal consumer satisfaction, while promoting teamwork. This role further supports the mission of Enloe Medical Center, which is to improve the quality of life through patient-centered care. The incumbent must consistently demonstrate the core values of Enloe Medical Center and perform their duties in accordance with regulatory compliance requirements and the Medical Center's Code of Conduct.
Responsibilities
- Accurately collect and analyze demographic, insurance, financial, and clinical data for patient registration.
- Facilitate efficient operations and expeditious reimbursement.
- Promote teamwork within the department.
- Demonstrate core values of Enloe Medical Center in daily activities.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and the Medical Center's Code of Conduct.
Requirements
- Competency as a Patient Access Representative I at Enloe Medical Center.
- Six months of Patient Access/Registration experience.
- Two years of hospital Unit Secretary experience.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Outlook).
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and families during emotional and physical stress.

- Demonstrated sensitivity and compassion for hospitalized patients and families.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of protected patient information.
