About the position
The Patient Account Collections Specialist is responsible for managing patient receivables through outbound calls, ensuring excellent customer service while resolving account issues. This remote position requires availability for various shifts, including evenings and weekends, and is part of a team dedicated to providing high-quality healthcare services.
Responsibilities
- Make outbound calls to follow up on patient accounts and resolve receivables.
- Refer calls/accounts to appropriate parties based on customer inquiries.
- Identify problem accounts and escalate as necessary.
- Update patient account records to reflect actions taken.
- Work with patients and guarantors to secure payment on outstanding balances.
- Maintain minimum production standards and achieve quality review scores.
- Produce acceptable unit collection volumes and adhere to attendance guidelines.
- Provide excellent customer service and collaborate professionally with team members.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or GED preferred.
- Previous call center experience preferred.
- Minimum one year of related experience, preferably in healthcare.
- Experience with collections in the healthcare revenue space is preferred.
- Ability to work uninterrupted during shifts (excluding breaks/lunch).
- High-speed internet connection (25 MB Download and 6 MB Upload) is required.
