About the position

The Patient Account Specialist (PAS) plays a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service to patients, families, physicians, and colleagues at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH). The PAS is responsible for creating billable accounts to ensure the financial stability of the hospital, contributing to the overall efficiency of the Nursing Operations department.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, physicians, and colleagues.
• Contribute to the creation of billable accounts for financial stability.
• Assist in the registration and admitting process for patients.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of job-related experience with direct customer service.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Two or more years of job-related experience in customer service.
• Ability to operate basic office equipment (fax, printer, copier, scanner).
• Computer proficiency and knowledge of medical terminology.
