About the position

The Patient Accounting Specialist Sr at INTEGRIS Health is responsible for managing complex transactions related to healthcare billing and claims processing. This role involves working with the ED Charge Capture - Rev Cycle Team to ensure accurate claim submissions, resolve denied claims, and maintain relationships with third-party payers. The position requires a deep understanding of claims management and compliance with state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Process complex transactions including global transplant cases and payer audits.
• Review and resolve denied, underpaid, and overpaid claims.
• Carry out the appeals process for claims.
• Maintain third-party payer relationships and respond to inquiries and complaints.
• Monitor the integrity of the claim development and submission process.

Requirements

• Four years of experience in healthcare billing, collections, payment processing, or denials management.
• Experience in at least three areas of healthcare such as billing and collections, denials, or registration.
• Healthcare certification (CRCR, CRCS, CHAA) preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Experience with DRG, ICD-10, CPT-4, and UB04/CMS-1500 claim billing.
• Knowledge of legal documents, contract documents, and collection agency procedures.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and billing/claims management software.
• Experience with hospital and physician billing, Medicare and Medicaid denials, and appeals.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in denials management preferred.
• Previous experience with third-party contracts and NCQA guidelines.
