About the position

The Patient Call Representative is responsible for promptly responding to patient phone calls and inquiries in a primary care setting. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to maintain professional relationships with a diverse range of individuals. The representative will also need to be knowledgeable about organizational policies and procedures, as well as medical terminology and patient navigation programs.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to patient phone calls and inquiries.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with a variety of individuals.
  • Communicate effectively both written and orally.
  • Handle stressful situations diplomatically.
  • Utilize knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent.
  • 1 year of experience as a Clerical - Medical Secretary preferred.
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of HIPAA protocols and security policies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
  • Experience with JMH patient navigation programs.
