About the position

Being a Patient Care Aide (PCA) at Visiting Angels Springfield is a rewarding opportunity that allows you to give back to your community while broadening your skills in the field of caregiving. The Springfield Office Team is dedicated to providing caregivers for the Macoupin County area, including Sangamon County, Menard County, Morgan County, Logan County, and beyond. We are looking for compassionate individuals who are committed to providing exceptional care to senior adults and those in need. Employment with Visiting Angels is more than just a job; it is a chance to make a meaningful impact in the lives of families by offering a helping hand to those who require assistance. As a PCA, you will support seniors with daily living responsibilities, which may include light housekeeping tasks, meal preparation, one-on-one mobility assistance, and providing transportation. The role is designed for individuals who have a strong background in home care or elderly care, a history of community involvement, and most importantly, a big heart. At Visiting Angels, we value our caregivers and ensure that they are never sent into a situation alone; we provide client and caregiver introductions to foster a supportive working environment. In addition to the rewarding nature of the job, Visiting Angels offers opportunities for personal growth through advanced training in specialized areas such as Dementia Care or Alzheimer's Care. This commitment to ongoing education ensures that our caregivers can continue to develop their skills and provide the highest level of care to our clients. Our work environment has been recognized with the 2016-2017 Caregiver Choice Awards, highlighting our dedication to creating a positive workplace for our caregivers. If you are passionate about providing dignified and respectful care to seniors, you may have what it takes to become a Visiting Angel.
