About the position
The Patient Care Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting patient care delivery in First Physicians Group offices. This position operates under the guidance of certified medical professionals, ensuring that patients receive the necessary assistance and care during their visits.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the delivery of patient care under the direction of a CMA/RMA/LPN/RN.
- Perform tasks supportive to patient care in assigned offices.
- Maintain active licensure as required for the position.
- Ensure compliance with Basic Life Support/CPR certification requirements.
Requirements
- Florida licensure as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Paramedic, or military corpsman; or National licensure as an EMT.
- Nursing students eligible for CNA exam must be enrolled in an accredited nursing school and have completed specific clinical semesters.
- Students in an accredited medical assistant program must have completed at least 50% of the curriculum.
Nice-to-haves
- Working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.
