About the position

As a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) in our Virtual Health department, you will play a crucial role in providing direct patient care under the supervision of a nurse or healthcare provider. This position is based at the UCHealth Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion in Aurora, CO, and is a full-time role requiring 72 hours of work per pay period, with a rotating shift schedule. The pay range for this position is $19.10 to $24.83 per hour, depending on your relevant experience. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for gathering vital signs, measuring blood glucose levels, and assisting patients with personal care and activities of daily living. You will also support patients in their progressive mobility and ensure that the care area is stocked, cleaned, and orderly. Your contributions will not only enhance the quality of care provided but also ensure the safety and well-being of our patients. As a PCA, you will model proficiency by precepting new team members and effectively collaborating with specialized ancillary team members. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Entry-level position with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
