We are hiring a Patient Care Associate (PCA) to join our ICU team at Spartanburg Mary Black campus! This is a PRN position, meaning the PCA will work as needed, primarily during the night shift from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM. The PCA plays a crucial role in providing patient-related clerical activities and unit clerical duties, including computerized order entry procedures and other unit activities as applicable. The PCA must be adept at understanding and addressing the specific communication needs of patients, families, and visitors. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, the PCA provides focused non-licensed clinical care for patients across the age continuum, which includes performing phlebotomy, basic nursing skills, and providing environmental assistance to facilitate quality service and improve patient outcomes. The PCA is responsible for documenting and communicating with team members in a timely manner regarding patient progress, needs, and problems. This role requires collaboration with leadership in developing and implementing the Spartanburg Regional Healthcare Systems' mission and goals. The PCA is an integral part of the healthcare team, ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care and support during their stay in the ICU.
