About the position

The Patient Care Associate at Mercy Rehabilitation OKC North plays a vital role in providing individualized care to patients under the supervision of registered nurses (RNs) or licensed practical nurses (LPNs). This position is essential for helping patients achieve their highest level of wellness through compassionate care and teamwork. The role includes performing clinical procedures and non-clinical support tasks, contributing to a supportive healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the individualized care of patients to achieve their highest level of wellness.
• Work cooperatively with team members to recognize and achieve group goals.
• Perform designated clinical procedures essential to patient care.
• Complete non-clinical support tasks as required.
• Participate in the Patient Care Associate training program to gain skills and credentials.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
• CNA/CPTC certification or enrollment in a healthcare career program preferred.
• BLS certification required within one month of hire.
• Completion of PCA competencies within three months of hire.
• Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds regularly.
• Prolonged standing and walking required during shifts.

Nice-to-haves

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred.
