About the position

The Patient Care Coordinator will play a vital role in the daily operations of a naturopathic medical office in Walnut Creek. This full-time position involves managing patient care, scheduling, and administrative tasks to support a team of five doctors specializing in Naturopathic Oncology, IV therapy, chronic conditions, and women's health. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, organizational abilities, and a passion for natural medicine.

Responsibilities

  • Answer phone and schedule appointments
  • Manage email communications
  • Check patients in and out, print invoices, and process payments
  • Discuss payment concerns with patients in a cash-based clinic
  • Manage patient files to ensure all necessary information is present for upcoming appointments
  • Anticipate the needs of the practice and communicate with the team to ensure all needs are met

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience in administrative, front office, and reception roles
  • 2+ years experience in a medical office
  • Excellent computer skills for a paperless practice
  • Strong telephone and interpersonal skills
  • Superb organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and switch gears quickly

Nice-to-haves

  • 2+ years of experience in a complementary or alternative medical office
  • Interest in natural medicine and healthy living
