About the position

The Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) at Fukuji & Lum Physical Therapy plays a crucial role in enhancing the patient experience by serving as a liaison between the Front Office and Back Office. This position requires a strong understanding of insurance and billing processes, along with excellent communication and customer service skills. The PCC is responsible for ensuring smooth clinic operations, resolving patient issues, and maintaining open communication with the Front Office Director and clinical staff.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all Medical Receptionist roles and serve as a liaison between the Front Office and Back Office.
  • Ensure exceptional patient care and clinic flow from check-in to check-out.
  • Communicate openly and honestly with the Front Office Director regarding departmental issues.
  • Assist in training Medical Receptionists and maintaining the Front Office Playbook.
  • Resolve customer service issues and complaints in person, over the phone, and via email.
  • Monitor and manage revenue cycle processes, including insurance authorizations and billing inquiries.
  • Attend weekly meetings with the Front Office Director and provide updates on departmental concerns.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience in a medical setting
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Knowledge of outpatient patient care and clerical experience
  • Ability to resolve conflicts and provide transparent feedback

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with insurance plans and billing processes
  • Familiarity with revenue cycle management
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
