About the position
NW Sports Physical Therapy, a brand partner of Upstream Rehabilitation, is looking for a Patient Care Coordinator to join our team in Tumwater, WA. The Patient Care Coordinator is an entry-level office role that is responsible for maintaining pleasant and consistent daily operations of the clinic. Our Patient Care Coordinators have excellent customer service skills and learn new things - a lot! The Patient Care Coordinator multitasks in multiple computer programs each day.
Responsibilities
- Greets everyone who enters the clinic in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Schedules new referrals received by fax or by telephone from patients, physician offices.
- Verifies insurance coverage for patients.
- Collects patient payments.
- Maintains an orderly and organized front office workspace.
- Collect all money due at the time of service.
- Convert referrals into evaluations.
- Schedule patient visits.
- Create an inviting clinic atmosphere.
- Make all welcome calls.
- Monitor and influence arrival rate through creation of a great customer experience.
- Manage schedule efficiently.
- Manage document routing.
- Manage personal overtime.
- Manage non-clinical documentation.
- Manage deposits.
- Manage caseload, D/C candidate, progress note, and insurance reporting.
- Monitor clinic inventory.
- Attend any required training with the Territory Field Trainers (TFT) for Raintree and other business process updates.
- Complete quarterly compliance training.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Communication skills - must be able to relate well to Business Office and Field leadership.
- Ability to multitask, organizational detail, ability to meet deadlines, work with little to no supervision.
- Efficient time management and presentation skills.
