About the position

InfuSystem is a growing healthcare service provider, specializing in infusion pumps and related products and services for patients in hospitals, clinics, ambulatory surgery centers, and other major service centers. We provide direct payer rentals, pump and consumable sales, and biomedical services and repair, serving all 50 states and Canada. Headquartered in Rochester Hills, Michigan, we have Centers of Excellence in Kansas, California, Massachusetts, and Ontario, Canada. As a leader in our field, our mission is to provide quality infusion services to patients and medical practices, including a 24‐hour clinical support hotline. Our team effort provides product management and clinical support to enhance the lives of our patients and the communities we serve. Service is always our highest priority; keeping the patients' health & safety at the center of everything we do. The primary responsibility of the Patient Care Coordinator is to conduct patient interviews for data collection by placing outbound calls to patients regarding the Pain Management infusion pumps' functionality and overall satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, critical thinking skills, ability to handle stressful situations, capacity to function independently, and the ability to document meticulously. Medical terminology is required; previous hospital or medical office experience is a plus. In this role, the ideal candidate will have medical terminology experience, listening skills, and the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from patients in a calm manner. Responsibilities include documenting detailed information given by the patient for any calls taken, accurately entering information into the web portal, and calling facilities for missing data, entering pump serial numbers along with patient data into Enterprise, and saving the information in the Company drive.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certified Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant, LPN preferred, but not required.
  • Previous hospital or medical office experience and medical terminology are a plus.
  • Ability to meticulously document calls.
  • Ability to calculate dosages and rates of infusion.
  • Exceptional data entry skills.
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
  • Self-discipline to function independently while working from home.
