About the position
The Patient Care Coordinator role at Judge Healthcare involves managing prescription inquiries and ensuring accurate documentation within a structured call center environment. This position is essential for facilitating communication between patients and healthcare providers, ensuring that prescription requests are handled efficiently and in accordance with established protocols.
Responsibilities
- Receive and respond to prescription inquiries from all communication venues, including phone, email, and fax.
- Verify the validity of prescription requests received.
- Follow enterprise medication refill protocols.
- Document each transaction thoroughly and accurately.
- Utilize the electronic medical record to access and document information.
- Answer and place outbound calls as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- COVID vaccination required.
- Certified Medical Assistant certification.
- Minimum of three years of Medical Assistant experience.
- Demonstrate understanding of medical terminology.
- Demonstrate understanding of scope of practice.
- Demonstrate fundamental knowledge of various relevant insurance programs/products.
- Ability to work in a structured call center environment.
