Responsibilities

• Greet patients upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures.
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring efficient use of time slots.
• Maintain accurate patient records and manage documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Provide information to patients regarding services, procedures, and insurance coverage.
• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth operations within the office.
• Handle patient inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Assist with billing processes and verify insurance information as needed.
• Stay updated on medical terminology to effectively communicate with both patients and healthcare providers.

Requirements

• Experience in a medical office or dermatology setting is preferred.
• Epic EMR experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in medical administrative support functions, including scheduling and record management.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology to facilitate effective communication within the healthcare environment.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism when interacting with patients.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated to complete tasks independently.
