About the position

Patient Care Coordinators are responsible for providing exceptional service by welcoming our patients and ensuring all check-in and checkout processes are completed. This role involves acknowledging and greeting patients, customers, and vendors as they walk into the practice in a friendly and welcoming manner. The coordinator will also answer and respond to telephone inquiries in a professional and timely manner, schedule appointments, gather patient and insurance information, and verify and enter patient demographics into the EMR system, ensuring all fields are complete. Additionally, the coordinator will maintain a clear understanding of insurance plans and communicate this information to patients, pull schedules to ensure insurance eligibility prior to patient appointments, and prepare insurance claims while running reports to ensure all charges are billed and filed. Other responsibilities include printing and preparing forms for patient visits, collecting and documenting all charges, co-pays, and payments into the EMR, allocating balances to insurance as needed, maintaining a clean workspace, practicing economy in the use of time, equipment, and supplies, and performing other duties as needed and assigned by the manager.

  • Print and prepare forms for patient visits

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Must be able to maintain patient and practice confidentiality
