About the position

The Patient Care Coordinator at Hanger Clinic plays a crucial role in providing administrative support to patients, employees, and referral sources. This position involves coordinating front office activities, ensuring efficient patient appointment scheduling, managing patient records, and facilitating communication between various stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and a background in administration, contributing to the clinic's mission of empowering human potential through superior patient care.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient appointment scheduling
• Obtaining insurance authorization
• Creation of new patient charts and maintenance of patient records
• Scanning and filing patient documents and ensuring complete and accurate information
• Managing incoming phone calls
• Providing financial counseling for patients and posting over the counter (OTC) payments
• Daily document research on an electronic health/medical record system

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Requires less than 1 year of customer service, administration or related experience
• A valid driver's license and driving record within the standards outlined within Hanger's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures
