The Patient Care Nurse Assistant role at Cleveland Clinic's Hillcrest Hospital involves providing basic direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). This position is essential in ensuring high-quality patient care and support within a leading healthcare environment. The role requires working night shifts, including weekends and holidays, and focuses on assisting patients with daily living activities and monitoring their health status.

Responsibilities

• Provide or assist with patient care under the supervision of an RN.
• Monitor and record vital signs and weight.
• Assist patients with personal care and activities of daily living.
• Facilitate patient transfers and transport.
• Perform pulse oximetry and point of care testing.
• Assist with dressing changes and applying external monitoring devices.
• Remove urinary Foley catheters.
• Report abnormal findings or changes in patients' conditions to an RN.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of patients' rooms.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) for nursing students.

Nice-to-haves

• State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) if not already obtained.
