About the position
The Patient Care Representative in the Regional Resource Pool at Mosaic Life Care is responsible for performing and coordinating patient care on nursing units as assigned. This full-time position involves a variety of assistive services to enhance patient flow and care delivery in a clinic setting, including front desk duties and direct patient interaction. The role may require rotation between units and is supervised by the Director.
Responsibilities
- Greets and escorts patients to exam rooms.
- Interviews patients and documents their responses in the medical record according to standards.
- Maintains examination rooms and equipment.
- Assists providers during physical examinations and special procedures as instructed.
- Performs EKGs, specimen collection, and point of care testing with appropriate training and competencies.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or HiSET equivalent.
- Basic Life Support certification required within 90 days of hire.
- Certified Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant training preferred.
- Experience in a physician's office or healthcare setting preferred.
- Computer data entry, customer service, collections, and medical record responsibility experience preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
