About the position

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) role at HSHS Medical Group involves providing direct and non-direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The PCT is responsible for understanding and addressing the unique needs of patients while collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective patient care. This full-time position operates on a day shift schedule, requiring flexibility to work weekends as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Assist with non-direct patient care tasks as per scope of practice.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure safe patient care.
• Understand and respond effectively to the unique needs of all patients.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate of an approved school for Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant, or successful completion of a Patient Care Technician program or an Active EMT license is required.
• 1 year of experience in patient or clinical care may be considered in lieu of education.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
