About the position

Join our team as a full-time, night shift Patient Care Technician (PCT) in the Post-Partum Couplet Care unit at Lovelace Women's Hospital in Albuquerque, NM. This entry-level position focuses on providing essential patient care under the guidance of nursing and medical staff, ensuring a supportive and compassionate environment for patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care under the direction of nursing and medical staff.
• Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Observe patients' progress and prepare reports for Registered Nurse or other medical staff.
• Obtain and record patients' vital signs and collect specimens for lab tests.
• Provide basic patient transport and perform housekeeping duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of patient care principles and practices.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in a healthcare setting or as a nursing assistant is preferred.
