Responsibilities
- Obtain and record vital signs, height, weight, and oxygen saturation levels.
- Report unusual observations to the supervising nurse.
- Collect specimens for analysis and record intake and output measurements.
- Assist patients with personal care and daily activities.
- Perform basic clinical procedures independently or under RN supervision.
- Provide nutritional support by assisting with meal orders and feeding patients.
- Prepare charts and communicate with patients prior to medical appointments.
- Assist with minor procedures as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions.
- Desire to help people and aspirations of becoming a healthcare professional.
- Basic computer skills preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong time management skills.
Nice-to-haves
- CNA Certification preferred but not required upon hire.
