About the position
The Patient Care Technician at the Pain Management Clinic is responsible for assisting in the transportation and perioperative preparation of patients across various age groups, including newborns, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. This entry-level position operates under the direction of the Department Director - Surgery Holding and requires basic skills in phlebotomy and computer usage.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the transportation of patients to and from surgical areas.
- Prepare patients for perioperative procedures.
- Support the nursing staff in providing care to patients of all ages.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Document patient information and care provided.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from AHA required.
- Basic computer skills are necessary.
- Previous hospital or surgery experience preferred.
- Phlebotomy skills are essential.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in a healthcare setting is a plus.
