About the position

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) at University Health Truman Medical Center is responsible for providing direct patient care in an acute care setting. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Current BCLS certification upon hire, maintained for continued employment.
  • Completion of Unlicensed Assistive Personnel training or demonstration of competency in required areas.
  • Experience as a nursing assistant or in a healthcare setting providing clinical care under supervision.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
  • Certification as a nursing assistant per Missouri state regulations.
  • Education as an emergency medical technician, medical assistant, or surgical technician.
