About the position
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) at University Health Truman Medical Center is responsible for providing direct patient care in an acute care setting. Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an acute care setting.
- Utilize technical skills validated through formal training.
- Perform duties consistent with established nursing standards of practice.
- Assist in monitoring patient conditions and reporting changes to nursing staff.
- Support patients with daily living activities as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Current BCLS certification upon hire, maintained for continued employment.
- Completion of Unlicensed Assistive Personnel training or demonstration of competency in required areas.
- Experience as a nursing assistant or in a healthcare setting providing clinical care under supervision.
Nice-to-haves
