About the position

DaVita is seeking a dedicated Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our team at our outpatient dialysis center located at 3100 Delta Fair Boulevard, Antioch, California. This role is crucial in providing life-sustaining care to patients suffering from end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease. As a PCT, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of our patients and their families by delivering compassionate and empathetic care. In this position, you will engage in direct patient care, spending the majority of your time with patients to ensure they receive safe, comfortable, and hygienic dialysis treatment. You will monitor patients before, during, and after their dialysis sessions, which includes measuring and recording vital statistics, observing patient conditions, and setting up hemodialysis machines. Building long-term relationships with patients is a key aspect of this role, as you will be working with individuals who require treatment multiple times a week. Additionally, you will educate patients on various kidney dialysis-related topics, enhancing their understanding and comfort with the treatment process. No prior dialysis experience is required, as we provide extensive paid training to equip you with the necessary skills.
