Tucson Medical Center (TMC) is seeking a dedicated Patient Care Technician for the Pediatric Emergency Department. The Pediatric Emergency Department is a newly remodeled facility designated as a certified pediatric advanced prepared emergency center, featuring 14 private beds. This department is strategically located between the inpatient pediatric unit and the Pediatric ICU, fostering a collaborative working relationship among the pediatric service line. The department sees approximately 30,000 patients annually, handling a diverse range of chief complaints, from minor ailments like sore throats and lacerations to more critical cases involving respiratory distress and full codes. As a Patient Care Technician, you will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team that includes physicians, midlevel providers, registered nurses, medics, and unit clerks. The role requires a commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. All nurses in the department are dedicated pediatric nurses, and the position requires certifications such as BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI, and ENPC.
