About the position

DaVita is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) who is eager to make a significant impact in the lives of patients dealing with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease in an outpatient dialysis center. This role is not just a job; it is an opportunity to give life and provide compassionate care to those in need. As a PCT, you will be part of a holistic team that includes nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other experienced technicians, all working together to ensure the best possible care for our patients. You will spend the majority of your day in direct one-on-one patient care, providing safe, comfortable, and hygienic dialysis treatment. This position requires a flexible schedule, as you will need to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, and may involve floating to various clinics during and after your training. In this role, you will monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment, which includes measuring and recording vital statistics, observing patient conditions, and setting up hemodialysis machines. You will also be responsible for educating patients on kidney dialysis-related topics, fostering long-term relationships with them as they receive treatment multiple times a week. DaVita is committed to providing comprehensive training, and no prior dialysis experience is required. The company offers clear paths for career advancement through its Clinical Ladders program and tuition assistance for those looking to further their education in nursing or other healthcare roles. DaVita prides itself on being a community-focused organization, striving to create a workplace where all teammates feel they belong.
