About the position

DaVita is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) who is eager to make a significant impact in the lives of patients dealing with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease in an outpatient dialysis center. This role is not just a job; it is an opportunity to give life and provide compassionate care to those in need. As a PCT, you will be part of a holistic team that includes nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other experienced technicians, all working together to ensure the best possible care for our patients. In this position, you will spend the majority of your day providing direct one-on-one patient care, ensuring that each patient receives safe, comfortable, and hygienic dialysis treatment. You will monitor patients before, during, and after their dialysis sessions, which includes measuring and recording vital statistics, observing patient conditions, and setting up hemodialysis machines. Building long-term relationships with patients is a key aspect of this role, as you will be educating them on kidney dialysis-related topics and supporting them through their treatment journey. DaVita offers extensive training for new PCTs, and no prior dialysis experience is required. Training may occur in various facilities, and you must be flexible with your schedule, as shifts may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. The role also provides clear paths for career advancement through programs like Clinical Ladders and Bridge to your Dreams, which offers tuition assistance for those looking to further their education in nursing or management roles within the company. At DaVita, we are committed to providing quality service to our patients and fostering a supportive work environment where teammates feel they belong. We are proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and an affirmative action employer, ensuring that all individuals are treated fairly and without discrimination.
