About the position

The Care Concierge plays a vital role in enhancing the patient experience by providing exceptional support and assistance in navigating healthcare services. This position involves coordinating care, managing patient inquiries, and ensuring that all interactions reflect the organization's commitment to quality service. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a thorough understanding of medical office operations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries and providing information about services offered.
  • Coordinate appointments and follow-up visits, ensuring efficient scheduling that meets patient needs.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
  • Assist with clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence to support office operations.
  • Utilize EHR and scheduling software for managing patient information and appointment scheduling.
  • Schedule all new patient appointments and manage referrals via email, text, or WhatsApp.
  • Handle incoming office line calls from patients, doctor's offices, attorney's offices, or insurance companies.
  • Schedule appointments with specialists for referred patients and provide support in a medical office environment.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
  • Customer service experience of at least 1 year is preferred.
  • Medical office experience is beneficial.
  • Strong organizational skills and computer skills are required.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is necessary.
  • Experience with EMR or similar medical software systems is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with PIP and WC processes and regulations is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a medical office setting is beneficial.
