About the position

In this role you'll gain satisfaction in providing top-notch customer service and enhance your administrative skills in a supportive environment. This is a great opportunity to gain (or grow) your leadership skills! Our Patient Coordinators are the backbone of our clinics. They are working collaboratively with their teammates to ensure the clinic is running efficiently. Our PCs have a direct impact on our patient's overall experience and are providing world class customer service. The day-to-day functions include scheduling new and current patient appointments, answering incoming phone calls, greeting and checking in patients, verifying insurance coverage, obtaining necessary authorization, collecting co-pays / other balances, and helping the clinic maintain exceptional performance. Our PCs will also oversee the Patient Representative at the clinic (if applicable).

Responsibilities

  • Schedule new and current patient appointments
  • Answer incoming phone calls
  • Greet and check in patients
  • Verify insurance coverage
  • Obtain necessary authorization
  • Collect co-pays and other balances
  • Help maintain exceptional clinic performance
  • Oversee the Patient Representative at the clinic (if applicable)

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of administrative experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
  • Desire to lead and mentor others
  • Great time management and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated with a drive to exceed patient expectations
  • Adaptability and positive attitude with fluctuating workloads
  • Eagerness to learn and grow
  • Dedication to exceptional patient outcomes and quality of care
