About the position

The Patient Coordinator/Hospitality Manager/Receptionist at Purple Plum Dentistry is responsible for providing exceptional front desk service, managing patient interactions, and supporting the dental staff in administrative tasks. This role is crucial in ensuring a welcoming environment for patients and efficient operation of the dental office.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome patients and visitors at the front desk
  • Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or individual
  • Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
  • Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays or payments
  • Maintain patient records and update medical information in the system
  • Assist with medical record management, including filing, scanning, and organizing documents
  • Provide administrative support to the dental staff as needed

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a front desk receptionist in a medical or dental office is preferred
  • Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is a plus
  • Proficiency in using electronic dental record systems such as Eaglesoft, or similar software
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
