The coordinator will also engage with the community to promote dental health and the services offered by the practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service to patients and parents at check-in and check-out.
• Verify patient insurance eligibility and service limits before appointments.
• Greet parents and patients upon arrival and departure from the office.
• Keep parents informed about the progress of their appointment or child.
• Maintain a clean and tidy waiting area and front desk.
• Ensure all patient files are ready before appointments, including pulling files and updating records.
• Coordinate with the clinical team to facilitate same-day care for patients.
• Assist in meeting office financial targets by managing hygiene and operative schedules.
• Schedule follow-up and recall appointments for patients.
• Answer incoming calls and direct them appropriately, taking messages when necessary.
• Make outbound calls to confirm appointments and reschedule as needed.
• Re-file all patient records at the end of the day.
• Adhere to government regulations and company compliance programs regarding patient care and financial transactions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Office experience in a dentist's or physician's office is preferred.
• Experience with children's dentistry is preferred.
