The Patient Coordinator at Kansas Youth Dental & Braces, a Benevis company, plays a crucial role in providing quality customer service to patients and their families. This position is focused on ensuring a positive experience for patients during check-in and check-out, verifying insurance eligibility, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. The coordinator will also engage with the community through local events and support the dental team's efforts to deliver compassionate care.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service to patients and parents at check-in and check-out.
• Verify patient insurance eligibility and service limits before appointments.
• Greet parents and patients upon entering or leaving the office.
• Keep parents informed about the progress of their appointment or child.
• Maintain a clean and tidy waiting area and front desk area.
• Ensure all patient files are ready before the patient's appointment.
• Coordinate with the Clinical Team Leader and Doctors for same-day care opportunities.
• Assist in meeting office financial targets by ensuring schedules are full.
• Schedule follow-up operatory and six-month recall appointments for patients.
• Answer incoming calls and direct callers appropriately, taking messages when necessary.
• Make outbound calls to confirm appointments and reschedule as needed.
• Re-file all patient records at the end of the day.
• Adhere to government regulations and company compliance programs.
• Verify, inform, and collect any out-of-pocket balances from patients prior to treatment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Office experience in a dentist's or physician's office, preferred.
• Experience with children's dentistry, preferred.
• Must be available 2 days/week, specifically Thursdays 8am-5pm and Fridays 8am-1pm.
