About the position

The Patient Coordinator at MedQuest Associates serves as the initial point of contact for patients, referring physicians, and the general public. This role is essential in creating a welcoming environment for patients and their families, ensuring their comfort, and addressing their needs. Responsibilities include checking patients in, scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and managing financial transactions at the time of service.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients and their family members into the imaging center.
  • Ensure comfort for patients and visitors by anticipating their needs.
  • Check patients in and manage appointment scheduling.
  • Answer telephone calls and route them to the appropriate parties.
  • Collect balances from patients at the time of service.
  • Perform other front office duties as necessary.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 0 - 2+ years of experience in a customer support role or hospitality field.
  • Strong customer service background and focus.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of computer systems and ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a physician practice or medical services office.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Prior patient collections experience in a medical setting.
  • Medical records experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
