About the position

The Patient Dining Services Manager at Bell Hospital is responsible for overseeing the food and nutrition services, ensuring compliance with health regulations, and maintaining high standards of patient and client satisfaction. This role involves managing daily operations, staff training, and cash handling procedures, while also collaborating with clinical staff to meet dietary needs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily production and quality of food prepared and distributed according to MHFS policy.
  • Implement ongoing training and development for staff to ensure high satisfaction levels.
  • Ensure compliance with health and sanitation regulations and infection control policies.
  • Oversee hiring, onboarding, and supervision of housekeeping staff, providing coaching and performance management.
  • Complete and post work schedules to ensure adequate staffing coverage.
  • Manage Kronos signoffs on timecards and ensure proper cash handling procedures.
  • Partner with nursing and clinical staff to meet patient dietary needs.
  • Implement plans for service growth and customer service initiatives.
  • Monitor supply inventory and recommend new or replacement supplies and equipment.
  • Respond to customer questions and escalations, providing service recovery as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Food Services or related field from an accredited college or university, or 5+ years of food service experience.
  • 3+ years of supervisory or lead experience in food service.
  • 1+ years of experience with food service regulatory requirements for sanitation and infection control.

Nice-to-haves

  • 3+ years of experience in food service management.
  • 3+ years of food service experience in a large health system.
