The Patient Experience Specialist/Lead Front Office Administrator plays a crucial role in managing the front office operations of a boutique comprehensive ophthalmology practice. This position focuses on enhancing the patient experience by ensuring efficient administrative processes, greeting patients, and coordinating their care. Responsibilities

  • Lead the front office and administrative experience for patients.
  • Create streamlined and efficient processes to enhance patient experience.
  • Greet patients and ensure accurate information entry for seamless service.
  • Answer phones and schedule patient appointments.
  • Process prior-authorizations and referrals accurately.
  • Follow up with patients to ensure their needs are met efficiently.
  • Coordinate patient flow with team members to ensure satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Previous customer service experience required.
  • Medical office experience preferred.
  • 2 years of experience in ophthalmology or other medical office settings is preferred.
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with medical terminology (1 year preferred).
  • Strong computer skills (2 years required).
