About the position
The position involves assisting patients with payment collections and general account inquiries at Froedtert Hospital. The role includes daily depositing and reconciling payments made to the Cashier's office and other departments, filing hospital liens for self-pay patients, and managing petty cash disbursements.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with collection of payments and general account inquiries.
- Daily deposit and reconciliation of all payments made to the Cashier's office and other departments.
- File hospital liens for self-pay patients when applicable.
- Manage petty cash disbursement.
Requirements
- One year of experience in billing or collections for medical care/service.
- Experience reconciling cash, checks, and credit card payments for depositing.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience using cash register, printing calculator, and computerized billing/collections systems in a service industry.
- Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel.
