About The Position
The Patient Financial Services Counselor at Essentia Health is responsible for providing financial counseling to patients regarding their services. This role involves assisting patients in navigating payment options, Medicaid eligibility, and financial assistance programs, both in-person and virtually. The counselor will also perform account analysis to develop action plans that educate guarantors and help resolve their financial responsibilities, while maintaining a strong customer service orientation to exceed patient expectations.
