• Collect patient responsibility payments based on estimates at the time of service or during pre-registration.
• Provide financial counseling to patients and their families, explaining financial policies and available resources.
• Act as a liaison between patients, billing departments, vendors, and payors to resolve issues and enhance account receivables performance.
• Communicate with clinical and hospital staff to address patient concerns and needs in financial services.
• Meet monthly individual productivity and accuracy goals as determined by management.
• Provide a variety of patient and financial services tasks, including transporting patients and precepting new hires.
• Work independently in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and making independent decisions.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
• Knowledge of patient financial services and insurance processes, typically acquired through one or more years of experience.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision and work independently.
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in common office software, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
