About the position

The Patient Flow Manager is responsible for leading a team of Patient Flow Coordinators and Transporters within a hospital setting, ensuring effective patient transportation services and compliance with regulatory standards. This role involves coordinating activities with other departments, training personnel, and managing departmental budgets to achieve financial objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of Patient Flow Coordinators and Transporters.
• Coordinate patient transportation activities and services with other departments.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies including Federal, State, JCAHO, OSHA, and CDC.
• Orient, train, and develop personnel such as dispatchers and transporters.
• Assist in achieving financial objectives and controlling departmental expenses.
• Monitor and supervise dispatcher activity and develop dispatcher logic.

Requirements

• Management experience in a hospital environment and/or patient transportation.
• Analytical ability to interpret statistical data and distinguish trends.
• Basic computer skills with Windows-based Operating Systems.
