The Patient Logistics Nurse at CommonSpirit Health plays a crucial role in coordinating patient transfers and admissions to Dignity Health facilities. This position is part-time, with a mid-shift schedule from 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM, requiring two shifts per week, which may include weekends. The nurse will work closely with hospital administration, nursing leadership, medical staff, and transportation vendors to ensure smooth transitions for patients from referring hospitals into Dignity Health facilities. The Patient Logistics RN will assess facility designations based on patient diagnoses, planned procedures, and care requirements, ensuring that patients receive the appropriate level of care based on their acuity. Additionally, the nurse will participate in various activities, meetings, and educational sessions to facilitate patient transfers from all points of entry into the acute hospital setting.
