About the position
The Patient Navigator role at Mercy Virtual Care Center is a full-time position focused on providing coordinated and compassionate service to patients and their families. The navigator will work within a collaborative team to facilitate patient experiences, ensuring they receive appropriate care through various access points, including on-demand video visits and triage tools. This position requires working on-site in Chesterfield, Missouri, with rotating weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate patient/family experience at Mercy Virtual by providing coordinated personal, professional, and compassionate service.
- Answer telephone calls from patients/family in the Mercy Virtual vAcute Program.
- Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with the organization's mission, values, and service standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Medical Office, Emergency Department, or Hospital.
- High school diploma required.
- BLS certification required or to be obtained within 6 months of hire.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in triage software and electronic medical records.
