The position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service by promptly and professionally greeting and assisting customers in a medical office setting. This role involves scheduling appointments and accurately completing patient registration information, ensuring that all interactions are handled with proper telephone etiquette. The individual will also be tasked with processing information for billing, which is a critical component of the role. Key duties include answering phones, scheduling appointments, and completing patient referrals and documentation in a timely manner. The employee will be expected to complete all registration activities from check-in to check-out, which includes obtaining and maintaining current demographics and insurance information. Daily cash management is also a significant responsibility, which involves collecting payments, explaining financial requirements, and ensuring daily balancing, verification, and deposit of funds. Additionally, the role requires insurance verification prior to patient visits when applicable, managing office correspondence, and processing medical records requests efficiently. The working environment is primarily indoors in an office or clinic setting, where the noise level is usually moderate. The position demands a high level of organization and attention to detail to ensure that all patient interactions and documentation are handled correctly and efficiently.

Requirements
