About the position

As a Patient Registration Coordinator at AdventHealth Centra Care, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive first impression for patients visiting our urgent care clinics. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that patients feel safe, cared for, and respected, emphasizing exceptional customer service throughout the registration process. You will work under the supervision of the Practice Manager and will be accountable for managing the complete patient registration process, which includes gathering essential information and verifying details to facilitate a smooth experience for patients. In this role, you will drive customer service initiatives by creating and owning the patient experience. You will be responsible for answering telephone calls, responding to patient inquiries, and ensuring prompt and accurate resolutions to their concerns. Your ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously will be essential as you demonstrate age-specific communication skills to assess and interpret relevant data from patients of all ages. You will communicate with patients or their guarantors to collect demographic, employment, insurance, and current medical condition information, ensuring accurate registration. Additionally, you will obtain client information for worker's compensation and corporate accounts, verifying authorization and services requested. Your role is vital in ensuring that patients receive the care they need in a timely and efficient manner, contributing to the overall mission of AdventHealth to extend the healing ministry of Christ.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency is required.
  • Must maintain current CPR certification at all times; if not current at the time of hire, must obtain a valid card within the first ninety days.
