The Patient Scheduler for the Home Sleep Testing Department plays a crucial role in coordinating patient appointments and ensuring the smooth operation of the medical office. This position requires strong skills in medical administrative support, patient service, and effective communication, particularly in both English and Spanish. The scheduler will manage scheduling, maintain medical records, and assist with various clerical tasks, contributing to the delivery of high-quality care to patients.
Responsibilities
- Schedule patient appointments for home sleep testing, ensuring efficient use of time and resources.
- Manage medical records and maintain accurate patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns in both English and Spanish.
- Utilize Microsoft Office and EMR systems to streamline scheduling processes and enhance communication.
- Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care and follow-up appointments.
Requirements
- Experience in the medical field
- Scheduling experience
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, EMR, and EHR systems
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Ability to work both shifts (9am-5pm and 10am-6pm) and some Saturdays
- Fluency in English and Spanish
Nice-to-haves
- Home Sleep Testing experience
- 2 years of customer service experience (preferred)
- 1 year of medical terminology experience (preferred)
