Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous, and helpful manner.
- Check in patients, verify and update necessary information, and check patients out.
- Advise patients regarding financial obligations including co-payments and insurance eligibility.
- Maintain the lobby in a neat and orderly manner.
- Coordinate physicians' schedules and maintain knowledge of specialties and practices.
- Answer telephones, return calls, and handle requests for information.
- Handle mail, paperwork via fax, and medical records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- One to three months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Nice-to-haves
- One to two years of experience in a medical office setting.
