About the position

The Patient Service Representative Scheduling Trainer is responsible for facilitating the training program for Patient Service Representatives (PSRs) in the Cardiovascular Medicine department. This role involves onboarding new hires, providing ongoing training, and evaluating employee performance to ensure high-quality service delivery. The trainer will also assist in developing training materials and collaborate with other trainers to enhance the training process.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the standardized training program for Patient Service Representatives.
  • Travel with new hires into their work environment for onboarding.
  • Conduct at elbow training for remediation as needed.
  • Evaluate employees upon completion of training to ensure service quality.
  • Assist in building, maintaining, and reviewing PSR training programs.
  • Orient new staff to their job responsibilities in group and 1:1 settings.
  • Prepare classroom and training materials in collaboration with the training manager.
  • Conduct employee assessments throughout the training period.
  • Provide feedback to leadership on training development opportunities.
  • Perform PSR responsibilities in a float capacity as needed.
  • Participate in EUAT and Superuser trainings.
  • Maintain communication of schedules and appointments for assessments and training follow-ups.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3 or more years of experience in Ambulatory/Admitting/Patient Registration, pre-registration & pre-certification combined with an associate's degree completion.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of EPIC & Medical Insurance.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, Adobe, and Office.

Nice-to-haves

  • 1-2 years of training/education and/or lead role experience.
  • Associates Degree completion or actively pursuing with expected completion within 12 months.
